What I have learned about Annemarie from reading so far is that she is a kind, and loving person, I think she is kind because she tries not to bring up Lise so she won’t hurt her parents feelings, she also tried not to bring up the soldiers talking to her and Kirsti so she wouldn’t worry her parents too much, I also think she is a loving person because her and her family try so hard to keep the rosen’s daughter safe from the nazis to help Ellen and her family stay safe.
I think in the packet is a key and a map.Because it would fit in the small packet.And mama didn’t respond because that’s important and mama didn’t want annemarie to worry.And she didn’t want a soldier to find it because that would definitely confiscate it or be curious and open.
I think Annamarie is a kid but she is an athletic kid unlike Ellen. But I think she was only more in shape then Ellen was because she ran in track. Annamarie also watches out for her jewish friend Ellen because the dutch were looking for all of the jews. She was protecting Ellen when the solider’s were in Annamarie’s apartment. Annamarie’s family had to pretend that Ellen was Annamarie and Kirsti’s older sister that died.
I think there is something in the package to camouflage everyone, or maybe something to help them blend in with everyone else. I think this because, when they get to where they need to be there might be soldiers there,and if the soldiers recognize that their jewish or if the soldiers recognize who they are, they will probably get in HUGE trouble. They also might have some place planned out to go to, and if they do, they will have to act and look like everyone else to get there to not ruin the whole plan.
What type of girl i think Annamarie is
I think Annamarie is a girl that is athletic and very courageous because when Annamarie, Ellen, and Kirsti were racing to the town Annamarie was in front of Ellen and Kirsti. Then when they were stoped by the soldier in Copenhagen Annamarie was talking to the soldier but Ellen and Kirsti were scared. Annamarie is athletic because the book said on the first few pages Annamarie was on the track team in school. She is courageous because when the soldiers barged into their apartment Annamarie’s family pretended she was Annamarie’s and Kirsti’s older sister so that Ellen wouldn’t be taken away by the soldiers. Annamarie’s mom and Her moms brother took good care of Ellen and her family and sent them off to Sweden so they would be safe. They got to go to Sweden Because the Dutch soldiers were looking for all of the jews (Jewish people) in Denmark because world war 2 was happening

What i think is in the package is… Stuff to camouflage Ellen’s family so they wouldn’t be taken away by the soldiers and they would stay safe in the boat that they took to go over to Sweden so they would be safe. After the war Ellen could come back to Copenhagen where they celebrated after World War 2.
In number the stars I think that there is a type of medicine in the package. Because if they breakdown on the boat they have medicine to hopefully and successfully cure the illness/sickness. Are if they are running maybe Uncle Henrik could be sick because they will run for him so he doesn’t get worse by the sickness and a possible time to die, early and if he dies they don’t get to where they need to get to. And when they don’t get to were they do they can get caught by the nazis/german military.
